Platform Note

Sunshine Verified is a free, nationwide resource for researching businesses and professionals in any industry. It offers free research resources covering all 50 states and Washington, DC, business listings, educational materials, and a free community open to every industry.

Sunshine Verified does not independently verify, certify, endorse, or guarantee any business or professional. We do not issue licenses, provide insurance, or determine legal compliance. Businesses remain responsible for maintaining their own credentials, and consumers should request current documentation and confirm requirements with the official agency before making a decision.

Information you voluntarily provide

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

• Business information you choose to submit, such as business name, industry, description, location, website, and logo
• The content of messages you send us, along with any preferred contact date or time

When you visit the site, our hosting and backend platform may record technical information such as your browser and device type, the pages you visit, and general usage data.

Browser storage and cookies

The site does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage for two limited purposes: to keep you signed in to administrative areas, and to remember an Ask Lumi access code on your own device so you do not have to re-enter it. You can clear this at any time through your browser settings.

Services That Are Not Yet Operating

Two features described on this site are planned but not currently active. We are disclosing them now so this policy is complete when they launch.

Payments (planned)

We intend to process payments through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. If you make a purchase once payments are enabled, you would provide contact information and payment details directly to Stripe. We would not store your full card number; we would receive a payment confirmation and a customer reference from Stripe. Stripe's own privacy policy governs the information it processes. Payments are not currently enabled, and no payment information is being collected.

Ask Lumi (planned)

Ask Lumi is intended to be an optional, paid digital assistant that helps with research on Sunshine Verified. If and when it launches, an Ask Lumi account would hold your email address, an access code, your credit balance, and a history of questions and credit transactions, and the questions you submit would be processed to generate an answer. Ask Lumi is not currently available, and no accounts, questions, or credit balances are being collected.

Information Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

We may share information:

• With service providers who help us operate the site, including Base44, the platform that hosts and runs this website, and our payment processor once payments are enabled
• When required by law or legal process
• To protect the rights, safety, or integrity of our business and our users

• Request a correction or deletion
• Opt out of future communications
